RETURN TO FISHERIES SCIENCE

Following the sale of International Royalty Corporation, Doug reconnected with his passion for zoology by supporting graduate students at the Colorado State University Fisheries Science Department in an unconventional way — he funded their graduate student tuition on the condition that they team up with Doug for the required research. Over the span of a decade of work, he collaborated on fisheries science studies, contributing to the collection and analysis of data and earning co-authorship on numerous peer-reviewed fisheries articles.
